  • Strongest Aspect of Waynes Discography

I raised this question in my previous thread, but what do yal think is the strongest aspect of waynes discography? or in other words what does he do better than most everbody else? create albums? mixtapes? features? or hooks? Where do yal think he stands out the most?

Imo when you really think about it..this man got more a1 features than most rappers have verses on their own albums...He could put together multiple classic compilations just on his classic features alone. And imo his best verses ive heard come from his features. Honestly he got so many great ones its overwhelming and u really cant keep up. I say this cuz with this last verse on Sucker for Pain, i realized this man drops some of the best stuff you've ever heard but it'll just get lost in the pile of other great features he got. For any other rapper verses like tht are highlights of their discography and for wayne its just another day in the office.

    What yal think?

I didnt read the whole thing but I dont think there is one specific aspect where Wayne stands out.... Its the size of his catalogue that sets him apart.

I agree, Lil Wayne has blessed us too much with too many great verses over the years

            it's between features and mixtapes

i'd prolly have to give the edge to features. i would let a song that i dont like take up space on my ipod if it had a dope wayne verse. theres so many songs that i would definitely not listen to if wayne wasnt on it

you think i would be listening to in the hood by brisco if wayne's two verses wasnt on that shit?

his features MADE so many songs

edit: it's definitely features. most of the songs i listen to say "Ft. Lil' Wayne"
"Armed and dangerous, rich and famous, young and restless
            Guns and stretchers
            Cristal and dubs for breakfast
I just got one suggestion - none should test him
'Cause cuz get hectic; send one through your sons intestines
Glocks knock lungs from chests, you get the portrait?
Bodies piled up on porches, it won't be gorgeous"

Wayne's features but from 2007 to 2010, the boy had a feature coming out every other day.

I would say his diversity and how he (metaphorically speaking) equips himself with a wide range of musical utilities. In other words, I could play a series of ten instrumentals and not one of them could you say "that really sounds like Lil Wayne" because he has murdered a wide range of instrumentals from Dispet style, David Banner, Mannie Fresh, etc. He literally has "so many styles" that his Hip Hop repetoire as a whole could be used to justify the identifying of Wayne as being "a group".
