  • Fernando and the Da Weezy Code

The Da Weezy Code [the title of my next book]
It all connects: album to album, song to song, verse to verse.
The meaning is there for those who look more broadly than one line to the next, something fans of other rappers don't have to do.

"Got a dude named Fernando at the front door ' your condo." Trap House, S4TW2.
Want to know who Fernando is? Well, you have to wait until...
"And we still buy the cocaine from Fernando." The Hills, NC2 [two albums later]

"And if you catch a feather, just keep it." My Heart Races On, FWA
    What on Earth? Oh wait...
"Picking up a feather from a lovebird is like a medicine ball to that bitch." Grindin' C5

"I sold my suit to the devil; he bought it then exchanged it." My Heart Races On, FWA
"I had a date with the devil, then I changed schedules." Street Chains, FWA

"Trap house pumpin like a 808" [a beat. pumping like a heart. heartbeat.]
and far, far later in the song
"I'm the heart and the beat" [spells it out for you.]

These are just a few examples of the Da Weezy Code. What examples have you noticed?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks if you told this to Wayne he'd think "Damn.. I'm that good?" and half this shit isn't even on purpose. I think this Kent guy overthinks shit a lot and its just like a coincidence ..
