haven't really been following wayne..but i work for Penguin/Random House...this books been floating around for over a year in the publishing industry. It's been revised many times due to Wayne and his management not wanting the public to see what his syrup abuse did to him in prison. He was on a methadone program. I don't know if they touch on that at all, but i remember that part...there were a few other context evaluations that were denied due to copyrights for songs i guess wayne "KNEW" would end up being published and bangers...i could on for days and days. That's why the delay.

As far as the methadone I understand why they wouldn't want that in the book but thats sort of common knowledge for anyone who follows Wayne. A jail guard talked about his jail routine and spoke on it and also inmates that did time with him stated he was getting methadone treatments. You can literally google lil wayne methadone and see for yourself but I remember years back when the news came out but either way everyone knows Lil Wayne loves drugs

From my understanding with the copyrights, all i know is Universal and Cash Money stepped in on that. I can see a Content Evaluation fail from a whole plethora of pages where he wrote lyrics. I wish I still had access!!!! These are the older "versions" of the book so to speakIn reference to the methadone, I heard from Content Evaluation "CE" that he talked about it explicitly, like abusing it, getting free methadone (somehow) from other inmates and/or COs...among other things...basically he didn't want to incriminate himself so hence we are getting the book X amount of years later. A "memoir" can be a daunting task. If you include names of people in situations you must get their permission, if you use their intellectual property, etc. Otherwise you're liable to be sued as well. Plus figure all the jobs COs would lose (if they haven't already) for doing these things. Same with inmates gettting popped "hooking" wayne up...Just from what i saw...

very interesting about the song lyrics and methadone. I remember hearing about the methadone. sucks that kinda stuff didn't get included in the final book, that's th ejuicey stuff we want. and whats up with the red theme with EVERY wayne project..enough is enough.
