Hear me out:Bob Dylan got the Nobel Prize for Literature today ( http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/10/14...ture.html?_r=0 ), paving the way for songwriters to win the award.Lil Wayne does everything Dylan does and more. 20, 30, 40 years from now, the Nobel committee will be unfazed by sex, drugs etc. in lyrics and will look at the literary merit of Wayne's lyrics. If you still think Wayne is in the same category as any other rapper, you have a whole world of Wayne yet to explore.

Songs are literature. Not music but songs, as in lyrics, in the same way poetry is literature. A nobel prize is awarded for an extraordinary achievement in whatever field, so anybody that uses words in an extraordinary way should be eligible for one for literature.

They gave a nobel peace prize to the EU lol. You never know what Wayne might get in a few decades as they start to acknowledge different things. Especially as Wayne might only be halfway through his career at this point.

I don't really expect that he'll get a nobel prize though.
