Wayne is basically an Epicurian. Which just means cultivating a small circle and living for pleasure through simple means. And not causing disruption or getting involved in public issues. The only reason he's even talking about this is because these people are asking him whilst assuming that they'll have the satisfaction of him agreeing with them. There's no reason he should become personally inflamed by an issue which he has no real experience of, that would just be pretentious. Is everyone who's black but doesn't want to be an activist a traitor?
