Since Wayne and Jay are my two favourite rappers, I figured I'd take a look at what would be different if Wayne had actually signed with Jay Z in 2005, when the two had a meeting and Birdman veto-ed the decision via his lawyers.

Of course, Jay needed to offer about 50 times more money than he actually did (allegedly $175k which is a joke), but I think Wayne's career would be vastly different, I think he'd be in most people's top 5 with better management (sorry Tez).

on the negative side i really dont think jay would have let weezy release so many free mixtapes. but on the positive side we may have seen plenty of wayne hits with beyonce and rihanna

Maybe. Jay would have had Ne-Yo and Rihanna on his roster though. But it's doubtful Jay would have let Wayne do so many collaborations, especially pop collabs, during his run as the best rapper alive.

absolutely! We would have gotten C5 in 2014 though, when Wayne was at his peak with "Believe Me" and the Wayne vs. Drake tour. It's probably a classic album and it might be dated by the time Birdman finally releases it.
