lol all of the post-C3 fans love NC so hard
NC is a classic, but if it came out in the last 3 years people would rip on the 'corny/cringe bars' just like they do now. I'd put D6 and S4TW2 on the same level of NC.

Drought 3 is the absolute best Lil Wayne Mixtape, and Dedication 2 is the only one that is close. D6 might be my favorite post jail mixtape, and we don't even know what to expect for part 2!

yeah there was some cringe bars but his delivery of every bar was so witty and smooth that it didnt matter.
thats what changed, for a little bit waynes delivery got a little cringey along with some cringe bars and that made the bars stand out more.

          • Post-prison Wayne seems to rap much faster now, he used to slow it down and punch you in the gut with metaphors....now its all super fast paced. Also, it seems less personal now....where are the 40 second tracks scattered throughout the mixtape of Wayne rambling? Where is that Misunderstood feel? The Best Rapper Alive feel....he seems to have lost that hungry energy....I still do like a few tracks on D6, I just wish it was a bit more personal and slowed it down on some songs.

Yes and he does on a few tracks. Boyz 2 Menace too goes hard, blackin out goes hard, bank account goes hard.....but I miss that personal touch throughout the mixtape just rambling about shit....and he just raps so fast now, almost every song is fast paced now, back on Drought 1-3 and dedication 1-3 there were plenty of songs where he would change up the tempo, go slow, change his voice to something crazy.....where is the jamacian wayne like on the intro of da drought 3?! I still enjoy his new stuff but missing some of that old style too.

However I was surprised / excited to see Juelz on the part 2 of dedication 6

Exactly. When I first heard NC all of that shit stood out hard af to me. Imagine going from DD3 and D3 Wayne to NC... It was fuckin' disgusting. And his voice was high asab relatively speaking.

NC was lame as hell to me save a few songs. Like...niggaz love DOA and that shit trash af. "I'm about to go planters/almonds/blabla" shit was stupid. It made everything before and after it seem way better to me.

Hell, the praise from all of his new fans for NC is what sent Wayne downward 2010-2013. He started saying a bunch of dumb shit and bars just because he got away with it on NC and errbody sucked his dick for it.

On S4TW it was just a raw ass Wayne who rapped like he just wanted to kill you. D4 was trash. D5 was him trying again and was pretty equal to NC to me but I like it more. S4TW2 is bars for days aside from the Jay/Bey song. Was his best tape since DD3. Niggaz slept on that tape tho. NC2 is bars but his delivery is definitely a preference so I understand the hate for it.

But this shit might be better than S4TW2 if the second half is as quality as this.
