I think D4 is the worst because of the slower flow and it was at the peak of his sexual punchline #rap
I also think the lows on D4/D5 are worse than D6 (Suwu / chorus on 5 Star), and D3 didn't have enough Wayne on it.
Overall I would say this is the 3rd best Dedication
D2
D1
D6
D5
D3
D4
these lines are straight trash like leftovers from IANAHB2!! Suddenly equally atrocious lines are being hailed as a comeback. Wtf. Sheep.
I don’t even go into Wayne music anymore comparing to the old days. It’s almost just like a new artist overall — in which case it’s pretty ...certain parts anyway.
For those who say this has shades of old Wayne (eureka sounds like c3? Umm, no. Don’t know what c3 y’all been listening to)
There is exactly one and only one section that sounds like pre-prison Wayne and it appears in “what’s next” at 1:45 (starting “quickly quickly quickly” and continuing to the end of the verse). I trust all true old school Wayne fans will agree.
Am I saying it’s the only good part of the tape? Hell no. My favorite tracks are XO, bank account and a few others. I just think it’s nice that Wayne can actually deliver in the mumble rap genre he (sometimes regrettably) birthed.
. He has struggled with this for many years now.
Now if only he could get rid of the random dick and pussy childish jokes that pop up in the middle of legit trains of thought, he’d be decent.
only song where wayne sounds like "old wayne" is on boyz 2 menance
Watch My Shoes, Oh Let's Do It, and Run This Town always been my favorite shits off the tape.
I get the love for Swag Surfin, Wasted, and Throw It In The Bag too. They slick deserve love.
I jus ain't like none of this shit compared to what we were used to gettin back then. Hell, the unofficial Hottest Nigga Under The Sun shit all over NC for me back then. As far as other niggaz beats, what he did on D3 was WAY better and niggaz HATED D3 back in the day kuz it paled to DD3(and autotune).
We all know that Wayne's more deliberate and slower flow doesn't work with most of today's beats, right? I see people complaining and shit like they don't...
Most surprising thing I've learnt from this thread is how many people fuck with S4TW2. I've relistened to try hear what I'm missing but it's a shit show. Voice was way off. D6 is a lot better. If you guys were talking S4TW1, I'd agree but 2? Nah.
The comment about no hooks is true, and I would of liked to hear more complete songs. But maybe that's what Wayne had intended here, just to spit hard bars with his homies. But that's something will never know.
I mean.. When I think about it I don't blame Wayne for not throwing hooks on a free mixtape, Hooks make money, why waste em. When I was listening to D2 at the airport a week a go I can't recall hooks really being on that ether.
SDTW2 a masterpiece guy put his all into that yeah the voice may be bad whatever but the bars and flow is spot on and agression is FIRE

i went back to SFTW 2 after this and yeah easily and confidently say
SDTW2 a masterpiece guy put his all into that yeah the voice may be bad whatever but the bars and flow is spot on and agression is FIRE
but then his bars and aggression is just as good on this, so what's that let down for people like Brew?
Everything is on par with SFTW2 except I find his voice is better on D6. Guess its just down to opinion
you could argue SFTW2 feels more complete like an album, when D6 is more a mixtape vibe
but then his bars and aggression is just as good on this, so what's that let down for people like Brew?
Everything is on par with SFTW2 except I find his voice is better on D6. Guess its just down to opinion
theres a certain crispy-ness to Waynes flow on SFTW2 that i prefer
D6 is a fantastic tape though dont get me wrong but i definitely prefer SFTW2
or maybe i need to give more time for D6 to settle on me
