As someone who wasn't raised around rap and no one I know was either, very few of the people I know know about snoop. More know of Em. It might depend on whether you mean well known or popular. Em is better know because he was more hated and controversial. Then again I'm coming from an older prospective then most of you on here.

From corporate ppl that know nothing about rap, to the elderly Caucasian lady, to the soul music factory working black man. If you asked them to name a rapper Snoop Dogg is the go to person

I can't speak for the US, but in the UK everyone from a child to an elderly person knows who Em is over here. Only people my age really know who Snoop is.

But again, I know it will be different in the US. I'd presume most of Europe will be the same as the UK.

Even look at the difference in followers and likes for both artists on social media.
