I definitely understand what you mean. It can be annoying. I think he just doesn't want to get involved with politics or current events, which is not always a bad thing, you know. The possible false modesty re: dedication series, it is a little tiresome. Even if he really feels that disconnected from it all, I wish he'd fake it for our sake! I guarantee if his ad libs were like on D2 people would get more hyped about dope tapes like D6+D6R

Wayne is probably a genius in terms of his verbal skill and how fast/efficient his mind works... but in some ways he's childish. Like when you watch that old The Carter documentary, the way he turns on people or gets really bitchy randomly and plays mind games with people... it seems a little juvenile (no pun intended). Maybe he's been in the spotlight from such a young age he doesn't really know any other way.
