hey fam a big thing on my bucket list was going to a weezy show and i finally saw the man live last night and it was easily the best night of my life thus far his performance was top quality and i was really impressed easily the best performance i've seen from any artist and its still resonating with me maybe cause im a stan and shit the crowd was also very enthusiastic which was nice to see
yall know how i feel about HoodyBaby and i was turning up on his part as well lmfao! even the crowd was feeling him
some memorable moments for me
- someone threw a ball of some sort at Wayne and it literally missed him by millimetres and i was shook as fck cause we all know what happens when someone throws shit on stage lmfao but he kept going and the energy didn't change
-his A Milli, 6 Foot 7 Foot, John performances were full of energy and really fun to watch his presence on stage was great
-he dropped a few speeches that were pretty funny and also apologised for not being in Australia for so long
-some girl was twerkin at the front at the very end and wayne was fcking loving it and was shouting her out for a solid minute haha
-at one point on the set wayne came out and said "this is who i call Mixtape Weezy" *adjusts cap* but when the music started it was Pop Dat and wayne turned around at the DJ and started laughing i think something went wrong there lol
-another moment the intro of La La started and the crowd got pretty hype and wayne said "im not gonna do this song" and it transitioned to a different song lol
i was originally really close to the stage but my mate got in a fight so we got lost in the crowd lol still had a solid view though i've uploaded my footage to Youtube if anyone cares to view it i didn't record full thing cause i was fcking going off lmfao
it was an experience i'll never forget and im grateful i got to experience it and hope to experience again after C5 drops
he performed "IM ME" which was a great song to see live and he spoke about a "mirror" and that was the "subject" of his time with us and he referred to it a few times i really thought that was nice and left a resonating message with the fans to take home from the show
songs i think he should have performed were
How To Love
and Mirror
both those songs were fcking huge in Australia and people i spoke to after the show were saying that they wished he played those
*opinions on other performers there*
- Tyga had a weak setlist and the crowd was very dead at the very end he performed Rack City & Switch Lanes which brought the energy back up again in his raps he had some Young Money lines which was funny seeing as Wayne was right there behind the stage he eventually brought out Iggy which was interesting the crowd was really excited when she came on
-Metro Boomin had a very energetic setlist and people were loving it
