  • how many copies would C5 sell first week?

i dont think he's gonna break any records but a lot of people have been waiting for a while, also hard to gauge with the new streaming units thing.

c4 nearly did 1 million but i doubt he'll get anywhere close, 500k maybe?

Maybe if they drop it right now, hopefully they don't wait too long.

if kendrick can do 610k first week with damn (sales plus streaming) im sure wayne can at least match that, but a lot of people have probably given up on c5 at this point.

eminem holds the record with MMLP (1.7 million first week) and if carter V can't beat it nothing can. (list for anyone interested)

            1. Eminem – The Marshall Mathers LP (1,760,000)
            2. 50 Cent – The Massacre (1,141,000)
            3. Lil Wayne – Tha Carter III (1,006,000)
            4. Lil Wayne – Tha Carter IV (964,000)
            5. Kanye West – Graduation (957,000)
            6. 50 Cent – Get Rich Or Die Tryin' (872,000)
            7. Kanye West – Late Registration (860,000)
            8. Snoop Dogg – Doggystyle (802,858 )
            9. Eminem – The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (792,000)
            10. Eminem – Recovery (741,000)

gotta remember 1500 streams = 1 album sale
so it would have to have 1.5 billion streams which isn't happening

streaming helped drake with views purely because of one dance lol, c5 isn't gonna have a mainstream hit like that no chance.

No wayyyy... albums don’t hit a million first week anymore. Unless you count what artists like Drake and Ye do by adding “bonus tracks” that have been out forever which boost the stream count. Kanye just did something like 750k and that’s because he sold his album with his merch.

I think Wayne could do 450-500 right now.... and honestly I think he would sell more now than if he would have dropped it back in 2013.

Nobody buys solid albums anymore but Carter 5 is trending somewhat and if people had a date in particular for its release maybe people could build and up hype and speculate leading to it potentially streaming towards a million in a week. I mean Justin Bieber, Mikky Ekko and Justin Timberlake are on it to say the least which will probably move a lot of units.

There is also that potential for it to sell a million in a week with all the people on it and all of Wayne's former collaborates possible co-signing and promoting the album.
