I saw it was the 15th bday of The og Dedication yesterday. And I was like wtf. Bc I knew I heard Nah This Aint The Remix song during my Senior year of high school. And I graduated in June of 2005. So I did some digging and damn I forgot that the d1 was a rip-off of the Young Money Mixtape. Ole Drama just changed a few things and added his tags and all. Guess that happens when you start getting old! Ha

Yeah, and it wasnt the anniversary yesterday. The tape dropped April 2005, it was just uploaded to datpiff december 2005, so people thought thay was the date. Also, Nah this aint the remix is a mix drama did, the original version on the YM tape (Feb 2005) was recorded to the original drop it like its hot beat, drama changed it to the instrumental from the jay z remix

The YM mixtape was supposed to be hosted by Drama but Drama took too long so Wayne just dropped it on his own. It was supposed to be called Young Money Dedication

And can somebody correct me if I’m wrong but on the d1 does the last word of Nah This Ain’t The Remix where he says: nah I ain’t a hater don’t get me wrong, I made it a hot line, you made it a hot song..Does he not say BITCH after that? Bc on the original on the ym mixtape it said PEACE.

sounds like “peace” to me with the gangsta grillz tag over it. The only original song Drama got was “Please Say the Baby” (a freestyle over Jae Millz - Streets Melting), every other song was on YM: The Mixtape or had the beat changed from that tape.


If you want to know all the songs Drama changed the beat on I added a section about it to the Dedication 1 article on wikipedia a while ago

Sounds like peace to me on both. The d1 just has a “Gangsta Grillz” tag over it so its a bit less audible
