  • When did you realize Wayne was Goat?

I listened to his early albums as well as all of the Cash Money stuff. But tha Carter 1 to me was the 1st rap album you could listen too all the way through and not have to hit skip. And by the time C2 was released, I was thinking he was up there with anybody. When the Dedications started coming out, it was clear to me he was the best. When you could listen to LilWeezyana and dd3 all the way through and it was better than any lp anybody else had, it left no doubt he was by far the goat to me. When C3 dropped he started distancing himself from the pack. I highly doubt anybody will come close to him, ever. Anything else we get from him from here on out is just icing on the cake.

during the original cash money days I always thought wayne had the most upside, most charisma out of a really talented collection of artists but careers come and go so quick I had no idea if he'd maintain.

By the SQ mixtape days '02-03 he was easily my go-to artist and I realized '04-05 (C1-C2, dedication, lil weezy ana) he should be everyone's favorite artist. '06-current its been proven, luckily got to appreciate the entire run as it happened.

yeah i believe i pulled them from limewire since datpiff wasn't around yet, maybe napster even? At least that's were I got most of my music that wasn't on CD at the time. Can't recall if i came across them originally just randomly searching wayne tracks on one of those P2Ps or if somebody posted about them on the forum on the old cashmoney-records.com site. I definitely gave out copies SQ6 and SQ6remix back in high school

It’s crazy to me how I hear a Wayne song for the 1st time in forever and it takes me back to different times in life. Music is amazing like that.
