Though they were engaged in beef a few years back, it's been a while since we heard anything relating to Young Thug and Lil Wayne problems. But that doesn't mean there aren't underlying issues. Thugger recently revealed that Tunechi is threatening to sue him if he puts out his previously-announced Barter 7 album.
The revelation came via Thug's girlfriend Jerrika's Instagram Live and was posted on YouTube on Friday (Jan. 25). In the video, Jerrika records Thug while he stares intently at his phone. Questions from fans and supporters begin to roll in with the main query being, when is Barter 7 going to drop? The Atlanta rapper ignores multiple requests from fans to know when the project will be coming out. Finally, he reveals, "Lil Wayne trying to sue me for that."
Thugger first revealed he was working on Barter 7 back in 2017. It would be the follow-up to Barter 6, which came out in April 2015. The offering was controversial because it was released at the height of Wayne and Thug's beef and was clearly a name play on Tune's Tha Cater album series.
Thug initially wanted to name the project Carter 6, but had to change the name after he was threatened with a lawsuit, forcing him to rename the album Barter. The new album would be Thug's first project since On the Rvn, which dropped in September 2018.
