  • Carter V Style

It has no distinct style. Did anyone notice that?
Like u can clearly explain and put into words the styles of each carter before it but can’t for 5. Like it has no tag line. Someone said it before and they were right when they said it sounds like a throwaway mixtape. Not saying it’s bad but there’s no order to this album. Outside of the mom talking at the end of some songs the styles are all over the place.
The original C5 had a very distinct sound. Like a golden, joyous, legendary feel. He sed “he fuckin loved it” I don’t think he felt the same way for this one. Let It All Workout, Hittas, Gotti, Mona Lisa all have a distinct voice and style that’s legendary. That can’t be broken and took his time delivery is not legendary. And them beats are way to wack to be on C5. Some of the worst of his career at that. He shoulda stuck to the let it fly route and just went on a dark, destroyer mode. THAT woulda been fye. Like a dark grimy extra terrestrial flow killer mode like Let It Fly and hard hitting beats. Like he was tryna have poetic beats and go with that can’t be broken flow. It just didn’t sound right. He’s changed to theme double time death mode flow which is FINE if he would stick to double time death mode beats like Let It Fly. One of his worst artistic creative albums. No direction. We needed OG

This new one all over the place. It was supposed to be more introspective but completely fell flat on that regard.

But I just thought about it when I was tryna explain the carter albums and the styles and couldn’t pick one for 5.

I blame Mack fckin Maine and his friend Cortez. Ruined the best album franchise ever

🤦*♂️ I don’t understanding your point but C5 definitely had style far as having Mature Sound & introspective He gave us balanced with this album compared to C4 & IANAHB2

                        Disagree

                        c1 and 2 definitley have a “style”
i guess you can say c3 does as well (mainstream)
C4 sounds the most like a mixtape
                        - multiple straight rapping tracks with no structure (Megaman, Intro)
                        - remixes (John - remix of Rick ross - if i die today)
                        - songs wayne isnt even on (interlude, outro)

c5 has a very dark theme, outside of a few songs (Dedicate, Uproar, Start This, Open safe, dope niggaz)

                        - - - Updated - - -

Imo, C4 sounds the “least” like a carter album
