Wayne doesn’t have anything to prove he already the 🐐 far as being influential, Album Sales, Impact, & longevity. I hope Funeral is great album hopefully classic but I doubt it would get the respect it deserves due to huge expectations that people put on him

hes gotta sell decent with this next album
if not people going to discredit him and say c5 only sold so much because how much it was delayed (people already saying this)
additionally thug sold 125K so he gotta beat that (when c5 did 480 first week a running meme was that waynes first week outsold all thugs first weeks together)

in conclusion he has to prove he can still move units off his name alone (not the carter name) - he can prove this by doing 200K+ first week

Nah he’s the goat. His only knock to many is not an undisputed classic album but at this point idk if he does it. But he doesn’t need to. Top 5 rapper and dam near top 5 artist period in music

To real music fans and the streets for sure he’ll always be the goat

The only people tht don’t give him credit is the new generation and “hip hop elitists” who will never give Wayne his credit, considering they only really know lollipop.

But either way it doesn’t matter. Goat rapper

And as dynamic on the mic as anyone ever.

Wayne, Michael Jackson, etc. he’s up there to me

He hasn’t had anything to prove since 2008 lol. It was obvious he accomplished what he wanted then

Not undisputed. A lot of people haven’t heard the second one and they don’t respect 3 cuz of its commercial appeal

To me tho he has 3 and that’s the first 3 carters, but to like the whole rap world, they don’t consider Wayne’s albums with the best albums

Kind of, it’s not universally recognized as a classic album. Like people don’t mention Wayne albums with the top albums. At least people in like “hip hop” websites and social media

But like I said, to the streets and to me Wayne has 6-7 classics

                      - - - Updated - - -

Wayne never really dropped a classic album once he was big. C3 is the closest but some people don’t fully give it the nod. C5 was his time to do it and he blew it. If C5 has been a classic he’d be recognized by everyone as the goat. Instead it’s just us and the ones who witnessed it that really know. He low key a legend from that standpoint. Like everyone heard of him but only a small generation that witnessed it and his fans really know how good wayne was and is

I'd like to know too. And whoever answers DO NOT say Akademiks. His hip hop IQ is non existent. He's he only person I ever heard say C3 isn't a classic. Which makes sense given his intelligence level.
