yall sleep, in no way does killing himself justify the dumbass reasons you just named for doing so. it makes much more sense that he shoots her, it gives the story a moral compass, otherwise the song is just dark as hell for no reason. unless you wanna tie it in to wayne killing himself at the end of let it all work out, which just dilutes the whole meaning.
