Moral to the Story vs. Open Letter

I'm sure you all heard the unfinished version of Open Letter that leaked recently. Are you also shocked at how honest Weezy was on the original version? Like his baby mama saying he ain't shit, that his gf (Christina Millian at the time?) didn't feel respected etc.
The way he's just about to be off-beat sometimes when starting a bar.. just makes it seem like he's getting more depressed as he's rapping. He obviously went through a horrible time. I'm really glad we got this leak because this seems much more honest compared to Open Letter, which was already pretty honest and dark. But on the official version he sounds stronger while he sounds broken and vulnerable on the original. What do you think?

I had almost the exact same thought about those exact same lines. Others have noted the reference to "my children, that's easy" which I think is also more open than the official.

Interesting because in general the C5 we got is more dark/personal and the OG tracks are otherwise much more upbeat but yes I agree this particular one seems more vulnerable

That was kinda my reaction as well hearing Moral of the story for the first time. it felt like a different song just by how it started
