Out of all the new leaks I think the one that most fits in with the official C5 vibe is Life of Mr Carter because it’s dark and serious, but hard and smart too. I was thinking about where it would have best fit on C5.

I think the best possible spot for it would have been after Perfect Strangers and before Used 2. My thinking is: Used 2 is hard as fuck and it’s the only one of its kind amongst the “emotional peak” tracks of the album. It definitely works, but it could be dope to have a similarly dark epic song alongside it so that vibe sticks around a little longer before the grand finale.

the only other songs that we have that could have made 2018 version is better get em, stick em and never really mattered you just would need to change a bit of the verses like he did with open safe even though original is way better and a minute longer

They would have reworked the drums for 2018 C5 100%. They are very outdated by today's standards. Whatever you think, the beat needs some work if you were to release this today.
