On Velvet Sessions I thought All for the Feeling had a very emo/alt rock feel and that it was a total gem that could have been a legit radio hit. That is exactly the kind of song - the instrumental, the vocals, the general flow of it - that I might expect from the kind of actual bands I listen to. But Wayne did it. Super cool

Mess: the instrumental is amazing and it is VERY similar to one of the most loved, most popular songs by one of my favorite bands. Even though his vocals are rap and R&Bish, at certain points his voice kind of dips and carries in a way that I can't really describe, except that I have heard it before in rock songs I love. In particular that place at the end where he is saying "Im making a mess, with all of these ones"...whatever he is doing at "all of these ones" is alt rock to me and total perfection

In the C4 days he did MTV Unplugged with acoustic guitar. There's only a little bit of autotuning here and there and his performance goes sooo well with the guitar. I am not a How to Love fan or a Lollipop fan anymore but there is one part where him and Shanell blend an acoustic version of those two songs together and its kind of mind blowing. A long time ago but he just seemed like a natural at it

A loooong time ago he was featured on a Fall Out Boy song called Tiffany Blews. He has a very small, quiet, slightly autotuned part but I thought it was super appropriate to the song and it sounded very authentic for the genre, and so did the lyrics. Like I am aware of other actual bands that have incorporate similar sounding background vocals into their songs. It didn't even really sound like Wayne, it sounded like it could have been any other rock vocalist but he blended right into it. Not sure if that makes sense

God Bless Amerika, What About Me: I think his voice and the tune in both these songs would sound great over nothing but an acoustic guitar.

This is off the top of my head, I am sure I would remember others if I spent more time

I personally think the biggest thing he would have to do for a Rebirth 2 is no autotune, and actually sing, not yell. And have really high quality instrumental and the right people helping him. I think its attainable

I love that song and I love that he's on it. I wish it wasn't such a short verse

Wayne has always been so ahead of his time. I do agree Rebirth might have done better in today’s age of rap music, but still a great album. I enjoy every song on there. What blows my mind, is I think that’s the most music videos we’ve ever gotten with an album? There’s 14 songs total (including deluxe) and we have 6 music videos from that project. Almost 50% of the songs have videos & that’s crazy to me. It seems like Wayne actually had a lot of fun doing experimental shit.

I am a big Third Eye Blind fan. And usually when I catch glimpses of great rock-like sound in Wayne's music it is reminding me of some aspect of their slower music. Fun fact, their lead singer Stephan Jenkins shares a birthday with Wayne and is also widely considered to be an exceptional lyricist (in a different way of course)

Other bands I love, Splender. Which unfortunately disbanded a long time ago. On that Tiffany Blews verse I thought Wayne came off very similar to some of what I've heard in their music both sound-wise and lyrically. Goo Goo Dolls, Dave Matthews, Foo Fighters, Killers, Oasis, Counting Crows, U2 are others I like

I love Wayne the way he is obv, but if he ever made further progress on the rock side my worlds would collide in a crazy way

Rebirth is a really good album I like the experimental side of it.
