C4... It outsold Watch The Throne while Wayne was “beefing” with Jay Z.

Every man woman and child was checking for it.

That’s one song bruh. The rest of that album definitely didn’t measure up to that shit. C5 lyrically shits all over C4.

Actually, yaw sellin C5 short. C4’s sales were still a part of a different era. People really counted Wayne out with C5, and he crushed expectations with no goddamn promo. Nigga announced it and dropped it out of basically nowhere. Hell, since C5 the hate for Wayne is WAY down.

Lil Wayne, Drake, Chance the Rapper, Skooly, Rich Homie Quan, 2 Chainz.

He was getting better and hungrier after 2014 and the Cash Money thing helped build sympathy towards Wayne

C4 was mainstream/full of hits and had a lot more promo. C5 is a much better album and I’d play it over C4 any day of the week

I’m not even sure about this anymore. Like there are songs on c4 I absolutely can’t listen to, but it’s 7 songs shorter than c5. I almost can’t listen to like a third of c5. C4 has such great songs, u push through the bad ones and then ur done.

But yeah c5 is easily lyrically better than c4. Outside of 6ft 7ft. But the production overall on c4 is way greater than c5. Which is maybe why I’d choose it over c5 some days. But lyrically and flows for the most part are better on c5

I actually take this back. Idk of musically better but lyrically for sure. Outside of 6ft 7ft
How To Love was a very heartfelt single, Much better than Darkside of the moon as much as I love that song.. I genuinely feel he put more heart into C4 naturally. People claim How To Hate is corny but no, It's actually not. Nightmares of the bottom!? The studio version is kinda lazy but live it has a different energy, The lyrics matter in that one though. Mirror trumps a lot of C5 TOO.
