it can still be argued that wayne is best rapper alive even now in the year 2019 and 2018 who dropped a better album then C5? can't think of anyone music been pretty damn lacklustre as of late

if we just had someone with the basic ability to sequence an album and make good choices in terms of promo wayne could definitely throw his punches in the ring but its the mismanagement and just general weirdness around wayne and his operations that hold him back big time wayne has proved time and time again of the last 2 years especially that his capable of rapping and rapping damn well he isn't doing that 1-2-3 A-B-C cookie cutter punchline c4 style no more

he not doing that weird wacky off the wall edgy shit of IANAHB2 or D4 he aint doing none of that stuff he be focused his delivering content and his bars are tight fluid and have depth to them its clear he has a different focus all it'll take is for someone to sequence an album full of perfect strangers/scottie pippens as a opposed to albums full of im that nigga and problems and he got another classic in him

He is the best, he fathered this whole "new" era, and it is a pity, that his management and marketing team is so poor. The whole YM thing collapsed and it's a miracle (or not) that two of his artists are still considered big names (with Drake arguably on the top of his game and the game overall in not one but two or three genres, Wayne should be getting credit for this too!) .
But, his consistency due to poor choices such as ianahb ii and the whole "pussy punchline era" and the birdman lawsuit thing, that dragged for nearly 5 years, made him invisible in the eyes of the public. Still he's a hero for pulling out C5, making this amount of sales, shit's crazy and the man is proving his worth. Many guys like Kendrick though, and even Eminem, although he is weaker these days, are considered the "best rappers alive". I guess my opinion is biased, but who can do what Wayne does? no one. But Wayne can't do other things these days, that many rappers can achieve. He can't pull up a Jay-Z, and it's a fault of the people around him, that they didn't protect him and use him wisely, advise him what to put out, help him manage his shit. He built careers, he saved people, he put so many people on the spotlight. His legacy is huge, and he could be on top of rap too.
