Sad to think some of the most classic tapes ever will be forgotten by these new generations. I feel like Wayne will always have a sort of cult following though.

        I'm 16

And yeah Wayne is so under-appreciated by highschool kids

It's something I could come up with you know? @jsharma17
Yeah, I think D1/D2 is more street Wayne. D3 is more clever and creative wayne

I mean wayne does the same thing lol
like when he quoted a whole aaliyah verse on “rock bottom” with pleasure P
and i doubt alotta people know “girls around the world” heavily samples a Rakim verse

True but real rap fans know that. That’s like his biggest song. That’s like “what a goon to a goblin” or another quote on one of waynes more popular songs

I bet a lot of rap fans haven’t heard Wayne’s mixtapes

That's different because he's obviously paying homage to those artists and plus those aren't even examples of stand out verses/lines.

Last Verse of Mr Carter, JAY Z verse
                          Pussy Money Weed, Outkast remake

yeah its homage but alotta casual rap fans do not no about these
obviously tygas was homage as well, he even quoted Shine from Lights Out on Loyal (Remix) lol

                          https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/...-belle.510539/
people reacted the exact same way you are when wayne did Pussy Money Weed, and its uncalled for
all artists do/did it including Wayne, its simply homage

and if this triggers a kid to check out tygas lyrics, see the rapgenius annotation linking to the dedication 2 song, and they listen to it - then the sample was worth it

we gotta break this cycle of hating on new rappers for the same shit our favourite rappers do. The generation before us did the same thing. Hated on wayne for doing the same shit everyone before him did.
