Not sure if this has been discussed here before but
I have a theory about Open Safe -- that it is kind of a reverse Mona Lisa i.e. a story about a girl trying to set Wayne up, but he picks up on it and catches her, allowing him to go after the person behind it. Anyone else feel this way?
-obviously the entire song he is talking about how he looks like money (open safe, Dom P on cornflakes blah blah)
-"your hoe smiling in my face, she out of line she out of place" he is identifying that a random girl is getting real close to him and that it feels off
-"everybody know my face...all eyes on me get the mace" obviously there's some references to other rappers there, but I also think he is alluding to feeling watched and targeted and having his guard up, especially with the mace line
-"hope this bitch don't think that Imma have faith in her bitch screamed when the dick was halfway in her" -- he is skeptical that this girl is playing him, esp because she seems fake during sex. Same idea with "coming home late bad bitch long face she do every single thing but rub me the wrong way" -- he has a bad feeling about her
-gets her to admit what she is up to and who is behind it: "stick her hands in the fan blades that's when she told me where her man stayed"
-"ran up in that bitch on a rampage....I capitalize off my own mistakes" he is turning being targeted (a mistake) into going after whoever set him up (capitalizing on an opportunity)
-other corroborating lyrics "guess what I'm coming back with that guage" and "Mack with me in this bitch and a Mac just in case I'm a Scarface" -- in the movie Tony caught people trying to set him up and killed them
What do yal think? Have always loved this song and putting this together over time made me appreciate it more. Its less linear and less obvious than Mona Lisa though so took me a while
