Throwback to Zimmie and the Ultimate CV

He's right. like for some reason, theres just this lense that c5 just doesnt hold up in to me. like everytiime i look at the tracklist im disappointed. to this day. but I must say, he's right on the ultimate wayne album. far from my favorite but it really is his most like total album as far as rapping styles. like he brung out most of what he's known for. like its the only carter album that has him rappin like dedicate/cant be broken style then have hittas style. or mess then don't cry. like if I wanted to show someone wayne is a good rapper if they say he's wack and I had to use an album, im tempted to show them c5. mainly because of songs like dedicate, let it fly, cant be broken etc.

this was always my gripe was tht it was less original wayne and more of wayne making a statement. like it did, but it also didn't allow wayne to feel loose. like on a never really mattered, if I don't shes mine, or form good which I guess is my preferred wayne. more off those unique rhymes and flows and humour.

but outside of that which he actually debadedly did on start this sht off right, it really is his ultimate album. like each song. its got dam near every style

yes C5 is his most ultimate album its an album he worked 5 years + on its diverse and vibrant from the features to production to subject matter one day people will wake up to it.

Precisely also dont forget that wayne said on carter documentary thats the exact album he envisioned he'd be making going forward

Disc 2 plus Open Letter is what I still listen to almost daily (maybe skip Demons on some days). That is a mature, grown up and perfect version of Wayne for me. The rest of the album I must say I don't like a lot but it's far from wack of course.

C5 grows on me more and more every time I play it through. I agree with you. I love confident and funny Wayne so I know that its hard to get comfortable with an album that lacks that. Especially now that we have the original to compare to and its such a stark difference. But its really a special album, even some songs I previously regarded as filler have grown on me.
