that's so wild to me. in my head with c4 i just think blunt blowin/megaman/john/6ft7ft/how to love/she will/president carter/i like the view/. when i think of c5.........i just think of nothing. it was just a nothing album for me.

i did dude. i actually re listened multiple times because i thought i was missing something but to me it was just a long dragged out album & not a single song stood out to me because 3/4ths of them sounded exactly the same. i just like 04-15 wayne. most of everything he released after 2015 just does not sound right to me.

Did you like any of the songs from 2013/14 on C5? Mona Lisa, Famous, Open Letter etc?

What C5 did well was it had at least one song for each person. So I'm surprised if you honestly didnt like at least one song

the crazy part is dude i didnt like aaaany of those songs. i dont know what it is but they just do not sound like wayne songs to me. i guess i'm just stuck in the past when it comes to his old music but i literally prefer ianahb2 over anything hes released in the last 5-6 years :/.

nah dude i honestly cannot listen to any new rappers i just dont like the new style of rap i guess. & i think that's my problem with wayne's new music because he's trying to fit into what they're doing & it just hits my ear so weird. i just miss like wayne's drugged out autotune swagger like priceless / whoever you like / little girl eyes & when he used to demolish beats like watch my shoes / burn / still got the rock. idk maybe i'm just old now hahaha.

the ONLY song i liked from d6r was abracadabra. that song reminded me of the old wayne so much it was so nice to hear that for once. & that feature was alright, i'm not a big fan of when he flows like that it just goes no where to me. like it would be so cool to me to just hear him rap again with no autotune whatsoever & no like fast paced overly hype flow. i miss listening for his crazy punchlines & metaphors thats one of the things that made me become a huge wayne fan but now those have all pretty much stopped & it makes me sad.

I agree with everything past 04-15. Something doesn’t sound right. Like that energy and charisma and swagger is gone. He used to be the coolest rapper in the game with the coolest sound. He don’t do that enough no more. Like sit back and a beat and show why u can’t fuck with him. I rarely listen to original music past 2015. Not saying there’s not good songs.

i guess it’s apart of his evolve. Like how old Michael Jackson music sounds way different then his newer stuff. He’s obviously stil talented but the “feel” is gone. He’s getting older. His music shows technical ability but it lacks that “feel”. Like u really felt Wayne back then. I rarely feel him now. On occasion I do but not his old stuff just has a vibe to it. Like I felt him more his personality and swagger was crazy. He’s missing that but yeah once again he’s older. He’s still a technician and a master of the craft but u just don’t feel him. Now some songs are cool. Piano trap especially the end I felt. And a little more

but I disagree on uproar and Mona Lisa. The best carried uproar but it was a cool song. Mona Lisa is fire. That is that Wayne energy u love and let it fly is what Wayne need to do more. Modern great beats and just do him. Kill it with his own flow and style.

didnt like that EP at allllllll. again just didnt sound good to me. and honestly dude i just wanna hear something like gunwalk or burn or levels or pure colombia. like ANYTHING along those lines would make me so happy. and dude i'm sure he does still do his punchlines and shit but the way he raps/flows now completely kills it for me. like his voice sounds so bad i have zero interest to even listen to what he's saying. i cant explain it. all of it just sounds bad to me.

I feel like the Wayne you grew up on is the wayne you would like the most because every 3-6 years we almost get a new person/phase for wayne because he is also aging and going through phases in life.

I feel like you (jhoya) like C1/C2 Wayne the best he was 21/22 when those dropped verse in 2018 he was 36 when C5 dropped. Which is honestly insane to think about. Some people on this forum might not have been born when C1/C2 came out lmao. But in 10+ years people change a lot and go through things you can definitely feel that in the music when it comes to C5.
