  • Open casket funeral

I feel like there’s a solid album lost inside Funeral. But it needs to be located. I wish Wayne had made the album like 10-13 tracks, 40 mins. A real statement. But as it stands it’s just wayyyyyy too long. No homo.

Cut the album to your perfect 13 tracks. And put them in the order you think they’d flow best to form a concise Funeral. I made one I could live with. Here’s mine:

    1- Funeral
    2- mahogany
    3- mama mia
    4- not me
    5- line em up
    6- wild dogs
    7- get outta my head
    8- bastard
    9-stop playing with me
    10- harden
    11- sights and silencers
    12- dream
    13- piano trap

Feel free to criticize and comment on mine and each other’s choices.

    "No homo" lmao

For me it would be something alone the lines of:

    1- Funeral
    2- Mahogany
    3- Mama mia
    4- I Do It
    5- Piano Trap
    6- Line Em Up
7- Wild dogs (not even a favourite but when wayne starts RAPPING holy-)
8- Bing James (Jay went off imo)
9- I Don't Sleep (it's pretty much mumbling wayne but catchy af so I dig it)
    10- Sights and Silencers
    11- Dream
    12- Harden
    13- Bastard

Yeah totally different level, C5. But Funeral seems to have a short D6-esque album in there if you cut the fat away.

Yeah, but if you look at my other posts I clearly said it was lyrical but not my favorite style. But I love D6, always have. Funeral made me feel like this shit is “NC2 the Album.”

But of course there’s a densely lyrical D6 in there somewhere too amongst the 24 tracks of endless auto tune, mumbling, mediocre features, redundant beats, zero quality control, trend chasing and Adam Levine.

As the eternally optimistic Wayne fan I’m trying to whittle this down to something more enjoyable. 13 tracks is generous of me too, btw. That’s 3 more than I think belong there, but I did that for y’all.

Btw, what are the hardest songs on this album? I mean like straight bars, nonstop rapping

The reception to this album is exactly the same as every Wayne project. People say that it's too long with a lot filler, but every list of best tracks is different.

I've seen a couple people say it sounds too much like the new music and another say it sounds too old LMAO. People just talking for no reason.

And the new trend is to criticize albums for being too long. Lol somehow it's a negative that they gave you MORE MUSIC.
