I admit I am somewhat amazed at how consistent most people on this Forum are (most of the time).

OK, that's three more people who have chipped in with their top 5 favorites. I assume there will be a couple more in the next few days, so this weekend I'll tally them up to catch everyone who has answered up to that point. Then I really want to ask again in 3 months and see if things have changed overall as we hear certain songs more and more.

For people who have an extensive history with listening to Weezy - do you think it is more normal for his songs to grow on you after you hear them a certain number of times, or do you like what you like the first time around? Also, do you think this has changed over time with his musical progression? I am amazed to read how so many people are saying that they are listening to a certain album or mixtape now some years later and NOW they are finding songs there that they might not have liked previously.

There’s usually songs that I’ll always fw on first listen. And they’ll usually remain my favs. Then the are definitely some that hit me at first and I don’t go back to much often tho. And yeah some I don’t get into until coming back a while later and really appreciating it. Like I usually just pick my 8-12 favs and stick with that and discard the rest of the album on first listens. It’s usually not until months end that I’ll go back and listen to the full album again and appreciate more songs
