That's what I was wondering too... I love DD3 but it's quite different (in a good way) from what rap fans listen to now. Not sure if they'll fully appreciate it

What kind of rap fans are they. Like what do they listen to. And are u tryna let him know he’s lyrical or they should be a fan of their music. If ur just tryna prove to them he can rap I’d go off the back d6/6r or funeral/c5 tbh. Just to prove to them he can rap. If their lyrical spiritual (Earl sweatshirt, Aesop rock, Chance) rap fans

If they’re in to just regular big “Kanye, Travis” like rappers I’d show them da drought 3/ carter 3.

And if they’re guys who are into the swag like rappers I’d show them we are young money

And if I just wanted to show them why they should be fans I’d show them dedication2, carter 3 and maybe da drought 3. (If ur not really a fan of him da drought 3 is hard to listen to in 2020 just cuz it’s lyrics and flows which since him and a prime Kanye have kind of been outdated and the production sounds old as hell)

It just don’t sound right. Like the production really does sound old. And no one raps like that anymore. Like flows and lyrics and stuff...so they might not catch what’s so unique about it. Like the swag and effortless of those kinds of raps. Like they might not catch what’s so good about it. Cuz they all into dababy and yeah he’s good, He raps hard and can put together multis he’s gotta be one of the worst mainstream rappers ever. Him and Travis scott. As far as pure rapping ability. Like a prime Wayne would end his career

I remember first time hearing DD3 (and I was very late to the party lol) I was shocked by the contrast between prime wayne and modern day rap. One of the mixtapes that really cemented Wayne as the goat for me, but it took a second listen to realize it (ashamed to admit it)

And prime wayne could end any of these rappers' careers like damn.

As somebody who is younger and a newer Wayne fan, I could say that DD3 does sound really dated, it has some of the bling era beats which I personally am not a fan of. But with that being said, Wayne is just a monster on that tape, it's just not my favorite Wayne tape because of the production. I think No Ceilings kind of sounds a little bit better and Wayne still spazzes on it, so if I had to recommend a mixtape I would say NC.
