Yeah he was obviously trying to record it ahead of c5's actual release in 2018 but it didn't turn out well. Same way I feel about most of the songs he re-recorded like Mona Lisa, Open Safe, etc.

600 000 views in 3 months, on a fucking leak with no push, ZERO promotion. it wasn't even part of Carter Chronicles or Holy grails and it's still blowing up. Carter 5?? They pushed Uproar as the single and Mona Lisa still blew up and is only 2 million plays behind Uproar.

Wayne is considered a legend in the rap game and is finally receving the proper respect he deserves in the game. People want to hear him RAP, they want to hear why he's a legend. They don't want to hear no attempts at cheap hits like Trust Nobody or him trying to sing a love song.

They pushed Shimmy on RapCaviar with Doja Cat a week ago, it's not even at 1 million plays. Why not? cause people don't want pop rap hits from Wayne, check the comments on Forever by Lil Baby, almost every comment is about how Wayne killed his verse.

If Tez and Mack had a brain they would pay attention to leaks and see which ones are gaining traction, then release them officialy. Doesn't have to be a official single, just a loosie to build hype and keep his name popping. They would pay attention to which songs that were officialy released that get the most plays, Mahogany is bigger than Mama Mia and Dreams, still they went ahead and pushed those other two. They would see that people want to hear him rap.

From what I recall the 2018 had a different beat and it wasn't really mixed well and they rearranged the vocals. I think the vocals are the same as the 2014 version, just rearranged. And from what I know about Wayne if he really re-recorded that he would have definetely changed some lines in the song like he did on Open Letter. I may be wrong though.

It’s Scottie Pippen 2.0 on YouTube but the beat is re arranged there’s a full verse missing also everything is re recorded. He lacks the same energy and hype in his voice from the original. I still want to hear Life of Mr Carter 2018 version. We got the snippet hopefully they leak that soon.

Very well said! And yes, i want Wayne to RAP, not sing. He can't sing like he used to anyway, Treasure is a perfect mix of singing and rapping but he can't do that no more. Paradice and Little Girl Eyes are perfect Wayne singing songs but he can't do that neither.(speaking of singing, i love the way Weezy used to sing before starting using autotune, songs like Promise, Crazy, Kiss Me Baby, Treasure, Miami Vice are classics) So he should just stick to rapping and he NEEDS to drop the autotune
