He should retire. There’s no point to prove anymore. Anything else he put out at this point is damaging his legacy for real imo. The more he put out the more his old shit get overlooked and ppl will eventually trash his music. I don’t want to see another project he promised us from a couple years back because just like funeral he will ruin the expectations. What I think he should do even though he won’t. Is release all his sessions as projects he shouldn’t record no new music unless it’s features. He should do like T.I and pop out every now and then.

With Wayne's recent music releases + posts on this forum with thoughts about funeral, his comments on the BLM movement, old wayne etc... overall, what's everyone's thoughts on what they want to see from wayne going forward? (And I'm talking bout a realistic approach not just him fixing the dreads and getting clean cause that'll take years and even then we won't have the "old wayne" back?? lmao)

Personally I ofc still want music from him. He still has bursts of genius like russian roulette, and depending on who you ask, few songs on funeral. And apparently velvet and that 2chains collab is still "coming soon". Ya'll hyped for that? Do you think he should just stick with mixtapes?

IMO CV was a very good album but i know some of ya'll don't like it and think wayne has slid downhill since 2015/16 lolz... imo that's when it started but after CV release he seems to really have lost his hunger. Point is, can we expect a Carter level album again?

Can we expect him to ever get a proper team?

I haven't read through responses yet, but these posts have been around since CIV/IANAHBII.

I think that the main thing that everyone seems to want is a cohesive project. Something with a theme, cohesive sound, or exclusive producer. It seems like we will get something like that with Velvet.

Even then I am sure that people will have problems for one reason or the other.

Wayne has always made projects with tracks I love, like, don't like much, or won't ever listen to again. I am happy as long as I get to hear new Wayne music, and find what I like. Most of the time other people like songs that I don't and vice versa.

I personally think FWA, CV sessions, CV, Funeral, and features over the past 5 years have been better than 2010-14. Nothing will ever be as good as Wayne in 2005-10, but I think Waynes rapping is as good as it's ever been.

I would perfer Waynes natural voice over more sample heavy beats, but it's just not going to happen in music today.

What i would like:

-New management
-Be more involved in music/album, not just 'record and let everyone else do everything'
-Have someone who has a good history (producer wise) executive produce an album for him
-Have people around him who will tell him when something he is recording is trash
-In line with second point, be more concise with albums, make a project with the intent of it being for that album and make a select number of songs, not 80 and have people narrow that down to 18-20

I actually lowkey agree with you. I know most stans don't want him to retire/believe it's up to him and we shouldn't say stuff like that buttt...man is just hurting his legacy. Look at the new/current gen. Almost no one listens to Wayne not even his prime stuff, and it's partly cause of the bad image he's made for himself starting in the mid 2010s

isn't Fabien just the guy they send the final album too & then he does a final master to it ? ... Was wondering who be in the studio with Wayne all the time? ... His vocal mixing is shocking , Wayne could Re-Do some parts but his engineer could sort some easily fixed fuck up on alot of waynes recent music

It’s really sad because all this backlash he’s getting for his comments about “uncle bob” and the media outlets saying he’s backing cops and blaming the BLM when he clearly sad he been in both situations with good and bad cops and we should be doing more as a community other than just tweeting. Wayne’s needs a good PR team who can clear these comments. I’m seeing he’s loosing a lot of fans and his sales are obviously going down. I know I’m not the only one who is hurt to see Wayne’s career go down. He needs drop a mixtape And takeover again.
