Collegrove 2
What we know
- Collegrove 2 was initially hinted by 2 Chainz in JAN 2018 in which he tweeted out:
�ME AND MY BROTHA GOTTA ANOTHER 1 ON THE WAY�
- in March 2020 2 chainz took to instagram live to announce that Collegrove 2 would be dropping that year within this live 2 chainz showcased two records off the project: "LA LA LA & DO IT WITHOUT YA"
- 2 Chainz released a single titled "Money Maker" which eventually made the final tracklisting for 2 chainz solo release album "SO HELP ME GOD"
- following this single in AUG 2020 2 chainz confirmed WAYNE & 2 CHAINZ had been recording and making ideas for CG2 over the course of 4-5 months
- in October of 2020 2 Chainz stated:
"We was going to drop my solo album and ColleGrove 2 this year. I�m not going to say it�s not going to happen, but we�re still trying to go back. That project is almost done. We might have to do one or two more songs. But we have been actively working on that project the whole COVID. �Money Maker� was a part of it, which I ended up using for my solo project, to let people get used to me and him back at it again. But I�m super excited about that. Believe it or not, it�s easier to work on that than my solo project. Me and Wayne, we have tons of fun. Steel sharpens steel. It�s this friendly competition. It�s to stay up on your toes. It�s a slaying war, a delivery war. It�s just so fun. So be looking out for ColleGrove, if not the end of this year, definitely the top of next year. I�m coming back-to-back with music this year, for sure"

- in April 2022 2 chainz took to instagram to post photos of him and wayne at the LIV miami nightclub with the caption "goin over the tracklist in club"
- in August 2021 Mack Maine confirmed Collegrove 2, Trust Fund Babies (project with Rich The Kid) and IANAHB3 were the next projects to anticipate from wayne
- in Nov 2021 2 Chainz confirmed he will drop one more solo release that will then be followed up by CG2 early in 2022
- in JAN 2022 2 Chainz confirmed on an interview with DJ ACADEMIKS that the project will come in 2022 and is currently being mixed
