  • Will Wayne ever drop a 4:44 type album?

listening to this "thug life" song it had me thinking critically
do you think Wayne would ever reach a level where he will focus on rapping on mature sounding production and cleaning his writing up?

i felt C5/FWA was a great step to this direction but did lack in some avenues but then funeral came around and took a few hundred steps back id really like Wayne to make a FOCUSED and reflective album especially at this point in his career i know his capable of a more mature sound i envision something like the below snippets

i KNOW his not JAY-Z so i wouldn't expect him to make an album thats exactly like 4:44 but i do know he can make "mature" type music something like his demonstrated before
on songs like MESS, DON'T CRY, DOPE NEW GOSPEL , WITHOUT YOU
for more 'rapping' type tracks songs like DEDICATE, BETTER GET EM, TOOK HIS TIME, HES DEAD, LIVING RIGHT, HOLLYWEEZY i think showed this side of him very well

i know i have been critical of Funeral but he showed this style on Mahogany

that would be dope and i hope he does but i feel wayne's team are going to continue letting him drop average projects that get worse and worse as years go by

Wayne chose the tracks for Funeral and look what happened lmao.

you can’t blame Wayne’s teams for being bad, you gotta blame Wayne himself for not realizing

pretty sure we seen Wayne filming the music video not long after C5 dropped so yeah probably recorded late 2017/2018

I think every Tunechi fan would want a project like this.

                      Funeral
                      Mahogany
                      stop Playin wit me
                      harden
                      russian roulette

we’re up that ally. I’d just stick with them type songs. Grown up beats and deliveries

throw in a la la la, do it without ya

then make piano trap and wild dogs be the singles

and big worm for the ladies

that should be his formula...the old carters i.e 1 and 2

just make 2-3 hit like songs and keep the rest real in pocket songs

                      an album like

                      Funeral
                      Mahogany
                      Piano Trap
                      La La La
                      Russian Roulette
                      Stop Playin Wit Me
                      Harden
                      Big Worm
                      Do it Without Ya
                      Help
                      Wild Dogs
                      Love You F You

is more of what his albums should look like

leave out the bing James, clap for em, ball hard like songs

                      maybe throw in help

nobody around him seems to be willing to direct this man anywhere. Mack did a great job with C5
but I think this is the closest we'll ever get to a cohesive, deep album.
Maybe Mannie will be able to, but I doubt it. I honestly lost all hopes for this man to ever get out
                        of his drug addicted loop.
He still the goat to me but shit like 'Thug Life' is just unacceptable to me as a regular release while they
shelve songs that actually deserve to get released.
