There are similarities in various songs like No Type, Perfect Strangers but these days he seems to want to use autotune in a 'cleaner' or 'sharper' way than he did back then. Idk if it's just the autotune settings or different microphones or just not being completely smashed on lean 365 24/7.

Agree that autotune use in rap was in its infancy during that time and had a long way to go

Now its cleaner but lacks a lot of the charm and authenticity eg during early chief keef/kanye days id like if rap adopted a more authentic sound again
