It just seems like he does genuinely enjoy elements of trendy styles and also has mack etc. influencing him on what he thinks he should sound like and put out. I wonder if he realises how widespread, generic, and boring a lot of these styles are though. He clearly listens to or hears more of other artists than he used to, despite what he always says.

NC2 and IANAHB2 are perfect examples, so many of the songs that were left off and recently leaked feel like classic Wayne just being himself. Imagine if NC2 sounded like Showtime and Cap & Gown.

thats a good point the songs that are left off projects that are more akin to trying a new style go considerable harder then the actual songs that make the project and sound more authentic to waynes sound im definitely not against wayne doing what he enjoys and trying new stuff i feel mack maine or whoever being so out of touch they might pick songs that don't work but are "different" so they just wack it on a project trying catch new ears

wayne got so many unique/modern sounding sounds he literally created and what people want to hear from him so not sure why he doesn't just do that instead
