The only reason Funeral gets hated on this site is because of the low sales, when the album dropped 90% of the comments were positive and after the first week sales all of a sudden Funeral becomes trash and the worst Wayne album.

What exactly is the problem with Funeral? The fast rapping? The lyrics? Wayne is spitting his ass off on most of the tracks, if people loved D6 so much(which was full of fast rapping) then i don't see why they hate on Funeral. The lowest point of Funeral is the features, no one cares about The Dream, O.T. Genasis, Adam Levine and Lil Twist. Wayne's perfomance on the album is great(most of the time). Yeah, it can be better of course, but that's the case with most of Wayne's albums.

My problem personally is the beats and voice, autotune too. overall it's an album I find boring. I've outgrown a lot of what Wayne does musically, and there's just better stuff out there at this time. he'll still do a good song here and there, but meh. (love the old more mature sound tho)

its called first week hype everybody says wild shit in the first week but the reality has settled in for most fans and hip hop listeners that funeral is a fucking awful album its full of gimmicks its hallow its wayne at his absolute worst his capable of a lot more his performance across this album is lacklustre and trash D6 was fire because that was wayne at his authentic self and he spit bar after bar flow after flow after flow funeral had a few flash in the pan moments but most of it was him stagnantly mumbling on shitty discount trap beats with shitty features and shitty lyrics

Funeral was a good album. Too much auto tune? That’s most all he uses. Nobody has any legit reasons to not like this album. Nobody wants to be attached to liking an album with low sales. Funeral still bangs and had a lot of good tracks. Flowed good song to song and even ended good. He has put out way worse shit than this and people LOVED it. Wayne has some of the most confusing fan bases.
