  • all lil wayne fans need to sign a declaration to defend REBIRTH at all costs

i reckon we all need unite to protect rebirth from the vicious hate this GOAT album gets from the public man the amount of worst of all time lists this album hits is super undeserving album is full of gems outside maybe max 3-4 songs its actually one of waynes most consistent and clean albums yet thats not bloated or anything

not to mention the insane amounts of influence each song pushes over the new generation the project was ahead of its time and pushed the boundaries of what "hip-hop" could be categorised as only thing that hurt this album was it being categorised as a "rock album" rap fans see a guitar in a music video and shudder at the thought probs cause of how awful hiphop/rock cross overs are but rebirth is so much more then a "rock" project

    its a genre pushing statement

so yeah you see any rebirth hate out there in the street as a weezy fan its your civic duty to defend it with ur life

Totally agree but no point, there will always be too many pseudo woke rap connoisseurs ready to chat shit. Wayne won't get full recognition from "hip hop fans" until he dies. Memories too weak, attention spans too short, opinions already ingrained.

My gf Did not like the album at all.
i understand why though. It sounds like a proto type of todays Music. Which is exactly what it is lol.
i think if you are going to enjoy this album, you are going to HAVE TO excuse the flaws on the album. Which is something many people are not willing to do. So if you dont have the attentionspan to excuse the flaws you most likely wont appreciate the greatness of the album.

                  I hate them thirsty bitches
                  Cut them off like circumcision

paradice, i’ll die for you, drop the world, da da da, on fire, american superstar, prom queen, knockout. CLASSIC. the hate that rebirth gets always blew my mind. there’s no other album like it. wayne perfected and borderline created the rap-rockstar persona while figuring out how to incorporate autotune into rock without it sounding corny and overwhelming. all of it was just absolutely incredible and amazing to watch unfold, i wish that era lasted another year after that album came out. so when everyone gets mad at me for bitching about wayne’s autotune usage now.... this is mainly what i’m referencing in my head. he needs to figure out how to grasp and rejuvinate this style/voice/..everything.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Really sad imo

Agree with this thread, but no way this gonna work. When I was new to hip hop I hated on rebirth too. Grew on me as I got more and more into wayne. Needed a fews listens too. Most people (when it comes to ANY kind of music tbh) are quick to disregard a song/album after the first listen
