Final Thoughts: Overall, I'd say the mixtape is a light 7/10. I enjoyed about 9 or 10 out of the 17 tracks (I don't count his kids features). The lows are low, but the highs are really high and def make up for it. Khaled wasn't as annoying as I thought he'd be but I'm still gonna cut out his intros/outros for my library. Can't wait to see what the 2nd half has in store for us! My 3 favorite tracks as of now are BB King Freestyle, Lamar, and Peggy Bundy.

Nice review, and had similar thoughts by the end of the 2nd listen

First listen is way easier on the ears than nc2 was. Probably better. I'm gonna be bumpin this all weekend and will record an episode for this and hopefully have it out by Tues. Excited for pt 2 as well. Curious if it is just gonna drop on Christmas or something.

nc2 was some dark shit man. Introspective and depressing. This is the opposite. Much easier to listen to for the average listener which I think is what the general public wants from Wayne.

The hook on Out West makes me want a collab tape from Wayne and thug so bad. Their voices mesh well together, they’re both willing to take risks, they can both tap into a style that no one else can do. If they sat in a studio together, got fucked up and just bounced ideas around, some craaaaazy shit could come out of that. Major hits, crazy ballads, and honestly some shit we’ve never heard. That could push music forward tbh.

the fuck all the songs with his kids i thought it was sweet until i realised the whole fucking song was him...thenn again...then again....AND AGAIN. fuck... wayne goes off a couple time's but there's a lot of very boring filler-ee shit...no ceilings is supposed to be him rapping but a lot of this is him just...i dont even know what. I laughed that he actually had the nerve? to just straight up ruin out west. like shat all over it and just sounded so horrible with thug...like who knew they would sound so awful together, i think wayne purposely shat all over it... He killed the dior remix he sounded alive n shit unlike the other songs where he's just floating and barely sounds there... more like d6... this is a really shitty wayne mixtape i dont want to come back to much of it...he sounded more energetic on Funeral too...it could just be the soundscape and all of these beats are just totally shit.

Mack Maine is a fucking clown. I doubt wayne gives two fucks about these drake songs even when he jumped on jumpman... its just tez and mack and now khaled's fat ass thinking its the best thing for him. Wayne is doing his wanna be future techno rnB shit on these trap beats isn't it either. its better if he just sounded mean but he does this freaky sensitive thing and pushes his voice so high... wayne's lyrics are a little less vivid maybe and flat. give him more underground street beats and he'd eat em. there's a really easy formula to making him sound great its just so rare it happens especially here!!
