  • The Lil Wayne interview that fucked up damn near a whole generation

"He was on 60 Minutes with Catie Couric, was you? No
He won four grammys, the year of the cup. Did you? No
What the hell was in his cup?!
Whatever he was drinking must be a motherfucking success potion"

Now you have a whole generation of rappers sipping this shit. Nobody knew about cough syrup before Wayne.
Not only rappers started sipping, fans did too.
Everybody is responsible for their own actions, so Im not blaming Wayne. But Wayne has most def influenced people to do this drug. To say anything otherwise would be wrong.

Now multiple countries have an opioid epidemic amongst youth.

    I hate them thirsty bitches
    Cut them off like circumcision

I dont think it was necessarily this interview tbh, I think it was more just seeing Wayne anywhere, always with a cup.
Interviews, award shows, anywhere Wayne was, there was a double cup.
had us googling what it was for in 08

people were leaning before in hiphop (texas rappers mainly) but wayne took it to a different level in 2008

Maan don't forget about Big Moe, DJ Screw, UGK and Three 6 Mafia. Sippin On Some Syrup was the first record to push drank to the mainstream. They started this shit.

But Wayne definitely took it to another level, I was in the 10th grade stealing codeine pills and making bootleg syrup, me and my classmate were inspired by Wayne to smoke weed and do other stuff. I wonder how many people in total he inspired to do drugs loool

Half of the post 2015 rappers are addicts or acting like they're addicts, Wayne made it cool.

all of those Houston rappers didnt make it big though.
If they did then people would have known what was in his cup.
they didnt know, Even if he talked about it on his raps lol
