As we know, Wayne dropped No Ceilings 3 in November followed by the second disc in December. For a long while, besides artists like Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa, very few artists have been dropping free mixtapes comprised of beat jackings. Now though, following No Ceilings 3, quite a few artists have been speaking about dropping mixtapes.
Tyga is dropping a beat jacking mixtape Christmas hosted by DJ Drama.
Big Sean teased a mixtape for release in early 2021, stating -
Lil Uzi Vert has been hinting at a collab effort with Soundcloud, which will presumably be free.
Now obviously, While old school mixtapes have been uncommon, Wayne wasn't the only one doing them. However, this resurgence following No Ceilings 3 can't be a coincidence.
Although commercially Wayne hasn't had a great year, it's still nice to see him influencing the game
