  • What Makes Lil Wayne Enjoyable?

This forum is full of black or white opinions of projects and tracks being great/trash, and people being dickriders/haters.

What are you looking for from Wayne. I think I came up with a list of criteria in order of importance that I want in a wayne track.

    1- Lyracle content/meaning
    2- Wordplay/creativity
3- Flow/diversity (I perfer faster flows with some switch ups compared to the slow ABC flow that he was stuck in around 2011)
    4- Beat/production
    5- Critical acclaim, sales, popularity

I think if a track hits all 5 points its a classic, but I can find enjoyment in Wayne tracks/projects as long as it has at least a few of these elements.

I feel like most Wayne tracks have at least #2 and #4

Flow, Lyrics, Beat Selection..... I mean wouldn't it be the same for any artist and fans of the artist?

i want him what he is known for
great punchlines, incredible flow, riding every beat effortlessly even when the lyrics aren’t legendary. also he forgot how to use his voice as the best instrument on the beat

No. I see people praising an album like Whole Lotta Red by Playboi Carti saying lyrics and rhyme scheems dont matter.

                    Anything slow and mellow.
                    Anything with passion in it.
                    Beat selection.

the delivery, the flow, the voice.
He can ride every beat and eat it. With his own unique style. This made me a fan instantly.
His ability to use the auto-tune (or how he used to use it at least, but he can still do it sometimes), brought in more people, he was the future.
