"I want a motherfucker to rap like me. How I was like, “I wanna be the next Jay,” I want motherfuckers to be like, “I wanna be the next Wayne.” I want that shit"
"What do you want everyone to take away from the album?(Tha Carter 3)
Great! Great classic. Listen to that bitch everyday, every year. One of them albums."

But do most rappers really want to be Wayne? Or just be able to rap like him? I feel like at this point he should almost be used as an example of things that you DONT do to interfere with your career. Don’t hire friends as managers, don’t surround yourself with yes men, don’t trust people with loose lips, dont screw your partner over and expect them not to talk, etc etc. Not that any of them seem to learn.

but people wanting to sound like him? Oh yes, he got that in mass numbers.
