The mixtape era was the best. He had the deadliest flows like the delivery on blowing up fast and diamonds on my neck. His word play was always entertaining, the similes and metaphors. I remember watching the gossip performance live on tv with the boys. I'm pretty sure i remember them saying he released 100 songs through mixtapes that year.

I thought it was dope that he got to do a tour with blink 182. I thought he would've did it with a different approach though, with bars and not too much emphasis on the singing. A mashup of classic mixtape wayne verses over the blink hits would've probably been cool too.

I found this dope mashup of blink 182 and wayne,

we seem to bypass it but he was my fav artist alone back in the day and i became a fan primarily just because of how good he sounded on beats.. like it puts him in a category almost by himself just due to his voice alone.
do you get off on it?

Are you kidding me when I first got into rap Wayne stood out to me immediately BECAUSE of his voice like damnnn whenever he was featured on a song I knew it was him right away (and this is back when i was a noob and couldn't tell rappers apart LMAO). Especially during his prime; the amount of control, swag, raspiness... sorry but that was just something else entirely sheesh

If im going to be 100% honest
The main factors that made me a fan as a 10 year old lol:

            His charisma
            His voice
            His look

I remember in 2008 I saw Ja Rules and Wayne's Uh Ohh music video.
I liked the guy in the dreads. I looked him up and saw Go Dj and his attitude and voice, and looks aswell made me a fan.
But I was a huge fan of the 2004 Wayne more than anything for years.

It was only later when I became a teen i started to realize his brilliance on the microphone.

            I hate them thirsty bitches
            Cut them off like circumcision
