I respect the wit and how clever he can be, but he gets focused on "spitting bars" instead of making good song structure. and it's gotten to be more and more of a thing. 2005-2011 Wayne was less technical but knew how to make an atmosphere and give his lyrics gravity. now it's more about how can I rhyme and be clever, and say 18 words in 4 seconds. that's cool and I respect that, it's dope. but from a song making standpoint, it's horrible for song structure. Saying 18 words in 4 seconds isn't ever going to give you room to be emotional or talking about something that matters. it's all hype shit.

Cassidy just did an interview talking about what makes rappers dope. He sed the guys who try to sound technical almost are wack. He said the best can talk like they’re in a conversation and everyday talk yet still be technical. Which is prime Wayne. He still has that bag but I hate when he uses the sound technical bag. It sounds almost forced but so many people are now praising Wayne’s “technical” ability because of it.

He abandoned his slow flow bag tho(different from his “straight rap” bag which he still has. V8, fly away, etc.) but the Mrs. officer, love me bag seems to be gone

Yeah Im thinking the same thing regarding Eminem.
Maybe its inevitable, cause once you Get so skilled at the lyrical stuff for doing it over 20+ years.
