First of all, music is not just lyrics, if that were the case they would just classify it as poetry and remove the instruments. Wayne has great lyrics, and a great flow, but it is hard for me to listen to his work from post 2015. My favorite projects from post 2015 are D6 (Official & Reloaded) and Collegrove, and it's not because they are lyrical masterpieces, but because they have beats that actually have a good sound to them and make you think, "damn that shit is hard" (don’t even knock me for this because you know what I'm talking about). Even Tyler the Creator said that Wayne's beats were bad. I hope I am not the only one who feels this is a primary problem.
