Here's my take on the "feature run" not translating to Wayne's lead music

when Wayne does a feature, he only needs to do his verse. The concept and song structure is already taken care of. He just needs to put his 16 bars or whatever in.

with his lead music, he needs to come up with everything from scratch, and I guess he struggles finding that guidance. This leads to weak choruses/song structure that result in overall forgettable songs.

I think if Wayne had a dedicated writer who could provide choruses/guidance with song vision, it could help him greatly

I did like Blue Snappin' and Anti Hero on this

We're talking about tracks that are added to a mixtape re-release. As I say they aren't great but I wouldn't necessarily be to worried. That being said of course you are completely correct with your assessment.

I feel like he needs to take a break. This is what happens when an artist refuses to take time away from music. He should go be with his kids, go to therapy and rehab, get his health in order. This endless mediocre lifestyle of going to the studio, going to the skatepark, fucking different whores, doing drugs nonstop is hurting him.Wayne needs to let that shit go and take time to get his life in order.

Also, I wished he understood that he’s a legend and he has nothing left to prove. I’ve said it before but, he could literally do like Snoop and just stick to features and ventures outside of music.

this would require he humble himself tho. remember on drink champs he said you not finna tell him how to rap I feel like this falls under that.
yea its not his vision. i feel like on his own songs sometimes he raps too long. like him saying its only him and his engineer in the studio sounds believable. also i think he one takes alot of work. and you can tell he has no plan on certain songs bcuz he repeats lines as if he tryna think on the fly. fuck wit anti hero and lil romeo. always liked wayne didnt care rather you was big or not buzzing or not he always down to do a song

This line should NOT have been said to begin with. but there were a few other Wayne lines blurred. like one was about brutality on an officer.
