If majority of what’s being put out people don’t like though then of course majority of talk will be about it. I haven’t seen anyone complaining about his features because they’re still great and on point, solo music just leaves a lot to be desired for people right now with Wayne.

I think since 2019 tbh he wasn't really doing the new age shit till then 2015 he was still very much 'wayne' eg dope wordplay amazing flows clear delivery

My take is that Wayne is just doing whatever he wants, and having fun. We know when he really put effort in a track, because those are our favorite tracks from the features and the best on Funeral.

Stuff like TFB and the S4TW bonus tracks are just sessions where hes talking shit and messing around. Maybe a few are fun to bump, but they will never stick with you.

I am perfectly fine if the next album is on the level of Funeral (low bar) but it seems like they are taking their time and looking to actually craft an album. It's been 2 years of mostly great features, the random deluxe CV which wasn't new in 2021, TFB which is basically a forgetable mixtape, and the 4 tracks on S4TW which were pretty forgetable, BUT im glad they are dropping tracks that aren't making the album!

I think Collegrove 2 will be just as good as the first if it drops, and IANAHBIII depends all on what tracks they pick.

I mean, yeah, he can bounce back, he's not that old or washed out, the Cash money drama just took a serious toll on him, and i think he's still tryna find himself out there. Maybe he needs a guiding hand, like Roc Nation or something.

He's got so many good verses scattered across features and his own stuff last couple of years it's more than most other rappers have from the same time period. Still plenty good stuff to listen to imo. The best Wayne verses are still pretty much unfuckwitable.
