How did Drake surpass Wayne?

Drake in his prime is doing more than Wayne did in his. I believe it has more to with Drake having a better team and being more mature. In Wayne’s prime he was arrogant asf and doing stupid shit like impregnating everyone, being a colorist, and getting caught with guns. Wayne is still doing stupid and immature shit to this day while Drake mastered the art of having a likeable persona like Jay Z or Will Smith… I could see Drake ending up doing big things outside of music like those two guys.


I mentioned in another thread that Wayne should get into film and people said he can’t do it but every rapper/musician that is smart is jumping on that wave because it’s a money maker. I just learned yesterday that Drake produces Euphoria. Drake is smart enough to pay attention to how other people succeed and follow that same formula while Wayne is stuck in his world of mediocrity. I think Drake is arrogant and fucked up like Wayne but he moves smarter.

Do y’all think that drugs are Wayne’s biggest downfall? Why didn’t he have the prime that Drake has?

Yes, the drugs are Wayne's biggest downfall. People can say whatever they want about 2011 Wayne, but 2011 Wayne was a boss just like Drake is now. He was clean and healthy back then, right now Wayne is a complete mess and it's very sad

To be honest Wayne never had the superstar co-sign like Drake had Wayne, or Em had Dre, or 50 had Em, etc. So his run will always be more impressive to me.

Drake has biggest or second biggest prime after Eminem (debatable imo) of all time. Wayne wouldn't touch that tbh. Drake and eminem had/have 10+ year commercial prime of going multiple platinum and some of biggest albums the years they drop which is huge for all genres.
