Blueprint 1-3 vs Carter 1-3 - Overall, which 'trilogy' is stronger?

All 6 albums are good but I have to give it to C1-3 here. I would rank them as such from 'worst' to best...

The Black Album is a lot stronger than C2 imo, in fact I'd say it's the strongest hiphop album front to back of all time. But out of the BP series...BP1 has too many weaker tracks similar to C3 but it seems to be revered way more highly than the latter whereas I don't think there's much of a difference in quality between the two. BP3 I never cared for at all, it had some humongous hits but I'm a bit lukewarm on like literally all of those songs lol and the rest of the album is meh. BP2 I do have a soft spot for and the production is great but there are not many absolutely killer tracks on it. Hovi Baby is an all timer though!

And yeah Carter has 5 albums so it's not a trilogy but who gives a shit, it's just a dumb poll.

I'm clearly biased as more of a Tunechi fan but these two album series have to be up there as two of the greatest in hip-hop. Maybe even the top 2.

Yeah that's true, i think it would probably go to Blueprint on 'neutral' ground. They'd be dead wrong though!

I'd say this is true overall but there would be the odd exception like myself. I'm 35 and would definitely choose Carters but I only got into Jay Z like 2015ish and listened to pretty much all his catalog. I also listened to (and loved) C2 around that time but I just stopped listening to music in general around then too so didn't delve that deep into his discog. At that time I would have said Jay is the best no question but now i firmly believe Wayne is just the much, much better rapper and has way more worth listening to. It's been nice to see that since 2015 Wayne has dropped some of his best stuff. I don't know any other old time rapper that has stayed as consistent rapping wise. Actually If anything, he's even better now.
